5 reasons why a private jet charter from ELEVATE leads to smoother journeys

Few things are more frustrating than a flight delay, especially when the domino effect creates a host of problems for travellers.

On any given day, there are hundreds – possibly even thousands – of airline delays and cancellations. The Flight Aware Misery Map provides a visualization of on time, delayed and cancelled flight across the U.S. on any given day. (On March 8, 2023, it showed 750 delays and 49 cancellations within, into or out of the United States.)

There are many reasons an airline flight may be delayed or cancelled. These could include crewing, mechanical, or operational factors, with one of the biggest reasons being bad weather.

You may have wondered how often private jets are affected by similar delays or cancellations. It’s true that all aircraft can encounter delays, and weather is the one factor that applies across the board. As pilots are fond of saying, “It’s better to be sitting on the ground wishing you were flying, than to be flying wishing you were on the ground!”

When it comes to bad weather, any flight can and likely will be cancelled. But what about other factors that may cause airline delays? Here, we examine those situations in the context of flying private.

When you fly private…

1.      You will never be parted from your luggage. Lost baggage is never a factor when you fly on a private jet, because it gets loaded onto the plane when you step on board.

2.      You can carry on with your carry-on. When you fly private, you can bring your baggage right into the cabin with you, and there’s no need to worry about food or liquids.

3.      You can travel with your circle and avoid crowds. Lines at the airport are a thing of the past. When you fly in a private jet, you and your companions arrive at a private terminal, where you will be taken directly to your aircraft.

4.      Your pets will vote you owner of the year. Instead of being wedged into the cargo hold, your furry family members can ride with you in the cabin. Depending on your provider’s rules, animals may have to be crated for all or a portion of the journey. Check with your charter company for details.

5.      You still have options if your destination airport is closed. Private jets can access a host of smaller airports that may be closer to your final destination. It’s nice to know there are options if you are diverted.

There are many benefits to flying on private aircraft. The ones we’ve listed here definitely help to ease the pain associated with airline travel – and remember, when you fly private, you are the one who sets the schedule!
